Clear aligners are an aesthetic treatment option in orthodontics that can be used exclusively or in combination with braces. Clear aligners may be suitable for adults or children in select cases.
Clear Aligners – how they work
Clear aligners are a sequence of specialised custom plastic retainers designed solely for each patient. For clear aligners to work, every aligner must be worn 20 – 22 hours per day for 1 – 2 weeks. The aligners must be removed when eating, drinking, brushing and flossing.
Clear aligners are best for the treatment of mild to moderate dental irregularities. Certain patient cases are too complex and are not suitable for treatment simply with clear aligners.

Cases suitable for treatment using clear aligners include,
• gapped teeth,
• open bite,
• crooked and irregular teeth,
• crowded teeth,
• and dental crossbite.
